MSDart.dll and XP SP 2

I'm having a minor problem with an upgrade of Windows XP
SP2. I upgraded my French Language version of Windows XP
with the appropriate language version of XP SP2 but now
receive the following message when opening Outlook 2003:
Application popup : CiceroUIWndFrame: OUTLOOK.EXE - Point
d'entrée introuvable : Le point d'entrée de procédure
GetTextExtentPointI est introuvable dans la bibliothèque
de liaisons dynamique MSDART.DLL

I know this was a problem prior to XP SP2 and was
corrected by installing the appropriate version
(2.80.1022.0 or later) of oledb32.dll. However, this does
not look a feasible option given that XP SP2 installs the
most up-to-date version of oledb32.dll.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Many thanks,

Many thanks for these suggestions, Kelly.

Unfortunately, I have tried them already without success.
For the record, I have installed Office 2003 SP1, have
tried uninstalling XP SP2 and Office 2003 and then
installing MDAC 2.8, reinstalling XP SP2 and then
reinstalling Office 2003 and Office 2003 SP1, so far
without success.

If there is another workaround which does not require
either removing XP SP2 (the poblem only occurs when this
is installed) or doing a complete rebuild of the machine,
I would be extremely grateful to be pointed in that
direction.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Donald,

That is about as far I have gone with this issue. Good luck and keep us
posted.
