Hello everyone,
In my msconfig window, at the startup tab, then to the Start Items line of
check boxes. I have about 9 boxes unchecked, how do you delete them???? They
are ad-ware and junk that some people send out. I am running XP Pro with all
updates.
Thank you in advance
Bob

Look to see where the location is: then for HKLM or HKCU run registry
editor (regedit.exe) and delete the subkeys from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SharedTools\MSConfig\startupreg

For 'Startup' or 'Common Startup', easiest is to check them again (don't
reboot) and then r-click on the Start Button; take 'Open' or 'Open All
Users' respectively, and then find the shortcuts concerned in the
Propgrams\Startup in the My Computer window that opens, to delete them
