Hi,

There was at one time a way to clean up MSCONFIG yet with WinXP Home Edition
w/SP2, there is no obvious way about it.
Anways, within all the listings of startup, there are three otherwise empty
entries after the check box that lead to
SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run I've got them unchecked yet
really have not a clue as to what they'd be
other than perhaps a "dead" keylogger or spyware that your Beta AntiSpyware
cannot pick up on.
FWIW, while running AVG Free edition, "dancingbush.com" is getting connected
to once in awhile and that url, I'm not associated with
in any manner. There was a report via a Google Search the site is infected
with "Glock" a trojan.
If so that the website somehow has managed to obtain a way into my pop3,
well then, Symantec never picked up the threat and
I used NA2003 for a few years.

What to do, what to do.

While you ponder over all that, if you've heard Springsteens new song
"Devils & Dust" then you probably will enjoy his source of inspiration
for the song,

I refer to the end jam guitar and harmonica
riffs, recorded September 19, 2001, live in front of an audience and with
absolutaly no rehearsal for this original song.

When you come up with an answer (and I'll be looking as well) do let me
know.

Thanks.

Run these programs to check for spyware/malware. After installing
update them, then boot into safe mode and run them. You should update
and run them weekly.

For viruses, start with Trend Micro’s Sysclean and McAfee’s Stinger.
Download them and the Sysclean signature file. Delete the temporary
internet files, turn off system restore, boot into safe mode and run
them. Boot back into normal mode and run a full AV scan with your
normal AV program. Then turn system restore back on.
