ms word taking over "edit" in html file context menu

Is there a way to keep MS Word from taking over html file "Edit" in the
context menu, when installing Microsoft Office? I would prefer to use
Notepad, Metapad, or anything else to edit html documents.

I could change it after installing Office, but making a registry file
gets complicated because, for example, Firefox makes html files be of
the type FirefoxHTML (and MS Word puts "Edit" into there).

Thanks,

open internet explorer goto tools internet options programs and click the
drop down list for html editor and choose which program you want.

I would prefer there be a command line switch for file associations,
but I really don't think there is (see Setup.htm in MS Office CD).

Or even an option in the "custom installation wizard" of the resource
kit, but I don't think there is (so many options I may have
overlooked).

I tried this, but it didn't work, as I expected:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_17242
because firefoxhtml key is where the true Edit command resides
but I don't want to make a reg file for this because Firefox may not be
the default browser

I guess I will use this vbs script that works:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/htmleditor.htm
and perhaps see what it does later to perhaps make a reg file.
