MS Word - PDFWriter

originally installed MS Office 97 ro my computer. I later installed a MS
Office XP upgrade. Since doing so, I get the following error message every
time I open MS Word:

"The Create Adobe PDF monitor cannot be found. Please reinstall Create
Adobe PDF."

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can keep this error message
from appearing when I start-up MS Word?

Thanks for stating the obvious JoAnn. Where would you suggest I look for
this driver. I've searched my installation disks and internet. Maybe I
could just pluck it out of the air!

Perhaps if you looked thru your various computer programs you'd be able to
find it. Please note that you stated "REINSTALL", not install. The obvious
part is that you must have had it at one.

As for plucking things out of the air, you are more than welcome to pluck
whatever you want.

You need to UN-install Adobe Acrobat's PDFMaker utility.

Look in your Microsoft Office/Word/Startup folder for a file named
PDFMaker.dot and remove it.

You may have to search your hard disk for it: there is usually more than one
copy and you need to delete them all, or it will keep coming back.

I believe the version of PDFMaker supplied with Office 97 is not compatible
with Office XP. I believe you can get an updated copy from the Adobe
Website.
