I have created and template that has drop down boxes in it. That works fine except I want to allow the user to be able to add additional names that may not be listed in the drop down menu. Checked the properties and the box is unchecked for "Contents cannot be edited"

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Do you want them to be able to just type in what they want? Or do you want them to be able to add to list that's available for others? Being a template, once they start a document from it, they are not working backwards to the template unless they save as a template. To add to a drop down like that, you have to be in design mode and go into the properties. You still should be able to type in whatever you want for one time use, unless you have other protection on the document.
