MS Word 2000 Won't Print

MS Word 2000 in Windows Vista suddenly started printing blank pages upon
request to print documents. I am using a Canon PIXMA MP130. Under Control
Panel settings, the printer is selected as the default and it is "Ready."
When I click print in MS Word I noticed that the printer status was "Idle"
simultaneously. Is this what is preventing me from printing documents? The
printer will still print pages from other sources, i.e. the internet, but not
documents or PDFs derived from those documents. I have never had this
problem before.

Are you saying that ALL Word documents produce blank printouts? Can you print
a blank document if you start Word in Safe mode (hold Ctrl as you start the
application)?

Obviously, I meant to write that you should add some text to your blank
document (= a document based on the Normal template) before trying to print
it.
