Ms Update Custom scan display

When I go to the Win Update site and select the custom option, it appears to
scan for any new updates......then......it displays the following error
message.....
[Error number: 0x800A0030]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.
Has anybody had this problem ? ? ?
