MS tools to protect OS every reboot??

Is there any MS tools that can prevent any changes done by user to be saved when exit from windows? Like protect the OS? There is 3rd party s/w and h/w in the market. Just want to know whether MS has any similar tools to do this. Thanks.

The short answer is no, we don't have such a solution.

You could run a guest operating system in Virtual PC, which has "undo-able
drives" to achieve this goal. But other than that, your best bet is probably
to find a suitable non-MS software package to do this.

Mmm... interesting response from MS, I must say. There are a few things
you can do that we are using now.

1) Mandatory Profiles
2) Restricted Users
3) NTFS peremissions to deny modification / deletion / write access to
certain folders for just THAT user
4) GPO's
5) Content Rating or HOSTS file

You will need to analyze your plan of deployment to restrict users depending
on what they need access to. Working in a hospital, I am using a combination
of the above to prevent useres from having fun on the PC's.
