MS Security Backups - Can They be Uninstalled?

S

Sam

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 computer with windows XP Pro (SP2) and all
current MS Security updates installed. I normally use Doug's XP Utilities,
"Remove Hotfix Backups" applet, to remove the MS Security backups, but for
some reason, the below two entries are not detected and removed. I am
assuming that these are backup entries, and if so, can I manually remove
these two entries?

C:\Windows\ $MSI31Uninstall_KB893803v2$ and $NTUninstallK917734_WMP9$

Thanks for any help, Sam.

Yes you can though if you want to be really safe copy them to CD then delete
them.
