MS Office 200

I have just bought a new PC running XP Home Edtn.

MS Office 2000 Pro will not load from CD becasue XP
Windows files are protected. It asks for XP Service Pack
1 CD to be inserted so I down loaded the 30mg of data and
I still get the same message and it will not load.

Help !

Thanks for the reply. I have no idea if I have admin
rights. Can you expand on this please ? Apart from being
a proficient user of MS Office I have few other PC
technical skills.

As this is a new PC the Windows XP CD will also contain XP Sp1. Insert the
Windows XP CD and the insatllation of office 2000 should be no problem
