I have loaded the new version of Anti spyware and it works OKon my account.
When other users log on they get at message saying "Unexpected
error;quitting". It then quits the application and will not run on there
accounts. I have tried to uninstal and then re install but it still does not
work.

Are they admin-level accounts? Giant didn't code their product to behave
correctly regarding non-admin accounts, and Microsoft is probably working on
it in the next beta version.

Which version of Windows?

Are you using the Fast User Switching feature of Windows XP? That leaves
the account logged in when logging in under another account. All the
processes for the first account are still loaded and running in memory.
Then when you leave the first one logged in and switch over and log into the
second account, the program probably sees that it is already in memory.
MSAS can only be ran by one user at a time. Many programs won't support
Fast User Switching mode.

I don't have the install routine memorized. Does MSAS ask if you want to
install for the current user or for all users? Also check the permissions
on the folder into which MSAS was installed.

Have you tried booting Windows into its Safe mode? Perhaps you have some
software getting loaded on a normal startup that is conflicting with MSAS.

Are you connected to and logging in under a domain account?

Have you tried logging on under the other accounts (where MSAS has the
error) and running:

runas /savecred /user:<installuser> "<path>\GIANTAntiSpywareMain.exe"

where <installuser> is the account you used to install MSAS and <path> is to
wherever you installed MSAS?

Right after installing MSAS, did you run through the mini-setup wizard as an
admin-level user (and probably the admin account you used to install)? If
not, MSAS doesn't fully install and might crash when you try to run it.

I know this may sound stupid but I am not that computer literate.
