ms antispyware goes out of control

Oops. I was wrong about "only loads on Win XP"...I guess
it'll work on W2K too, but now I'm glad I didn't test it
there!

Hmmm...Where's the uninstall for this app?

Shoot! Logging into system with the correct UID helps!
I needed to find the Add/Remove entry for the MS
AntiSpyware program, which only appeared on one Admin
users' panel.

The problem was getting to the Control Panel's Add/Remove
since the system was virtually unresponsive. Once I
figured out that I must permanently disable one of the
gcas executables (thank goodness the TaskManager works!)
I was then able to get to the Add/Remove panel and
actually uninstall AntiSpyware. I got an error, but I
figure it must be related to the fact that I had to
disable the program before I could get to this point.

Haven't read any reasons for the problem anywhere -yet.

Have you looked at the size of the errors.log file in the folder where
Microsoft Antispyware is installed?
