MS Antispy schedule and 'Scheduled Tasks'

The Antispy beta runs it's own schedule for scans and
updates which do not appear in XP's 'Scheduled Tasks'.
Is it intended that they will ?
It is so much tidier and easier to have all timed events
visible in one place - Norton's 'Netdetect' and scans are
there for example.

I agree. There are a number of bugs involving the scheduling function.
We'll have to wait for a further beta build to see how they are resolved.
