Hi all,

I have been seeing/hearing people mentioning different
version of MS Access supportable database size limit
ranging from 1GB, 2Gb and all the way to 4GB. Has anyway
really tested out what's the actual size limit ?

Appreciate a response ASAP as I need to report this to my
boss for recommendation as to continue using it or change
over before the budget closes.

Many thanks !

Access 97 and earlier 1 GB
Access 2000 and later 2GB

By chaining exterior databases to a front-end, you can do much larger. This
largest I've seen was 30GB on an Access 2.0 database.

The largest practical size is determined by the quality of the datatbase
design and the number of concurrent users. My largest is 42 users and 500
MBs. The largest I've seen was 200 read-only users on 510 MBs.
