MPEG Files in Powerpoint

I have created a powerpoint presentation which has mainly basic text
and two mpeg files. The first mpeg works fine. However, the second
mpeg file plays, I am able to arrow key to the next slide, but then
cannot get any further. Sometimes by using the mouse the presentation
moves to the next slide but not always. I have tried using the arrow
keys, space bar etc.

Any ideas??

Often, updating the version of Direct X helps this issue.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q295810/ specifies Direct X 8.0, so if
you're using anything older than that, go for the latest version -- which
seems to be 9.0c.
