MpCmdRun.exe

Every time I reboot, I get a WD alert saying that MpCmdRun.exe has been
allowed. Now I know it is part of WD's running processes. But why is it
alerted to me as allowed action after each reboot. Is it a glitch? Or maybe
it is intentional so as to advise the user that WD has correctly initialised,
particularly in the silly absence of the systray icon?

I've seen a post from a Microsoft staffer here stating that one version of
this message indicates that the scheduled scan has been updated. This
should happen once a day, and I think you'll only see this message if you've
enabled some non-default checkboxes.
