Mozilla browser probelm - Pls help

I am not technical.

I have a recently purcahsed Windows XP Toshiba laptop with Intel
processor

I have been using Mozilla Firefox Browser for quite a while..no
problems... now all of a sudden this is happening...

My screen FREEZES and it says
Mozilla is not responding

I deleted the Browser software and downloaded it again...but I still
have the same problem.

can anyone pls help me ?

Your firewall may be blocking.

Don't let Window$ problem(s) confuse you. Firefox is running fine, at
least in my PC. When in doubt, buy a 2nd harddisk, and re-install the
whole thing. Of course, be careful of those dangerous websites.

The good thing with this approach is: you got a backup.

I don't know about IE, though..ha...

Try starting Firefox through the Start Menu in SAFE MODE. You could be
having a problem with either your profile, or with an extension you've
installed. If that doesn't help, post your problem in
mozilla.support.firefox on news.mozilla.org
