Moving Windows XP Pro to a different machine

Hi

I have a PC originally installed with Windows 98.

My wife has a PC originally installed with Windows Me.

Several months ago, I bought Windows XP Pro as an upgrade to my Windows 98 machine. I installed XP Pro on that machine, but it would never run correctly (I think the motherboard is shot) so I gave up and reinstalled 98.

My wife has now bought a new PC with Windows XP Pro installed, and I am inheriting her Windows Me machine.

Can I now upgrade her Me machine with the XP Pro I bought some time back? If so, how would I go about doing that?

Thanks

Yes if the speed of your Cpr & the amount of Memory is within the specs
required for XP.
BUT first make sure that you can download drivers for all your hardware like
Display Card, SoundScard,Modem, Printer etc.etc. and save them somewhere so
that you can install them after Win XP is loaded.
