moving windows 2000 server os to new harddrives

Hello,

I got windows 2000 server with raid controller.
Currently there are 3 raid 1 arrays

1 for os
2 for data - 2 raid1 arrays - 1 dynamic partition.

The problem:
array1 for the os is made of old scsi harddrive.
One failed the other can too soon.

I need to replace those two drives in array one with different one
(new)
How do I do it so I wont loose my configuration?

Would this work:
remove failed drive from array and replace with newer and faster drive.
When new drive is rebuiled remove first one and replace with faster
one.
Then they both should synchronize.

Can I replace drives in the array with faster and bigger ones.
Would this brake my array and configuration?

Thx

bart

I've done this with a few different controllers and it caused no issues
It 'may' depend on your controler if there are any specifics for removing a
drive
