Moving old Outlook Express messages to Windows Mail

I am trying to move the entire contents of my Outlook Express mail messages
from an old Windows 95 system to Windows Mail on my new Windows Vista system.

The files on the old computer are all .dbx files.

Does anyone know how I can export the files? Do they have to be done all in
one go, or can they be exported folder by folder?

If it's impossible to get the folders added to Windows Mail, I would be
happy if I could simply transfer the individual e-mail messages to the new
Vista computer in any readable format, just as text files or something, so at
least I could use them as reference. If there's a way of selecting the
messages individually and transferring them in large batches to a floppy
drive, I could do it in ten or twenty transfer operations.

Thanks in advance for any help.
