moving of computer accounts from one domain to other domain

Hi

Setup:
We have one win2k DC with user & computer accounts in the ADS
we have one more DC in the same ADS which is having all applications (VSS Database).


Quest:

1 We are going remove our existing ADS, and going to install new ADS
how we go about this with minimum down time...

2 removing of Desktops (computer accounts) from exisiting ADS and adding them into New ADS (any automated process ?)

3. we want to impl login script through GPO, (currently we r using logon script option (batch file))

thats all right now......pl help me........

I guess you have to use ldifde to do this. I am researching on a same sort of project. If you have any ideas, please share.

Take a look at the Active Directory Migration Cookbook which is a good resource on
how to migrate for various scenarios, and what tools to use. If your target domain is
native. be sure to look at the free ADMT which has a test mode also. It is also easy
to use Group Policy user configuration to manage logon scripts as shown in the last
link. Group Policy also allows startup, logoff, and shutdown scripts. A big advantage
of startup scripts is that they run in the system context which means you can run
scripts that would otherwise need the logon user to be a local administrator. ---
