Moving around in FTP sites

I am connecting FTP using IE 6 to a site that requires a username and
password. I successfully connect, but I am in the home directory. I need to
go to another directory on the server.

When I use the command line version of FTP, I can 'cd' to other directories.

I tried doing ftp:://ip_Address/the/directory/i/want/ directly, but IE
starts at my /users/home directory, not at the root.

Suggestions..?

Hi,
Try:
Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> (check) "Enable folder view for FTP
sites."
