Moving appointments

Anton

I book appointments on a Exchange server at work and would like to move the
appointments over to my stand alone Outlook at home. Both use Outlook XP.

Is this possible to move the appointments to my home Outlook or would I need
Exchange at home as well?

(My employer will not give me access to Exchange at work because of security
reassons.)

Thanks!

Try:

File > Import and Export... > Export to a file > Personal Folder File (.pst)

Then select your Calendar from the list.

This will save your Calendar (including all your appointments) to a .pst
file, which you can then transfer to your home and opened in Outlook (File >
New > Personal Folder File). I am using Outlook 2003, so your steps may
vary slightly.

Rather than exporting, which changes a number of properties on the
items in the folder it's usually best to create a new PST file and a
target folder in it and then just copy all the items in the source
folder to the target folder. If you want all of them you can use Edit,
Select All (Ctrl+A) and then copy them over.
