HI

I am trying to move a hard disk installed with windows XP
professional to another machine. The machine boots up with
boot options screen(safe mode...and so on).I tried
starting it with all options but it continues to reboot
everytime and does not boot into windows xp.

I know that u have to repair the installation. But that is
if the two computers have different hardware. These two
machines are identical.Same motherboard and everything.

Can anyone help me?

What if the hard drive is a secondary/slave drive? Slave
drive from computer A to computer B, also as a slave
drive. Computer B wants to format the drive, but the
drive has important stuff on it..

How do I configure the drive?

Hello

You have 2 options
1. Use Norton's Ghost 2003
2. Or do a repair install, stop looking for shortcuts it will
cost you.

A repair install, eh? Never done that, nor have used
Norton's Ghost. Not wanting to look stupid, I'll stop my
questions till I try those.

Thanks a lot!
