Movie trip ups

With a movie inserted into a presentation, before moving onto the next slide
(and animation), the movie will return to the beginning before moving onto
the next slide - this obviously disrupts the flow of the presentation. Can
anything be done to prevent this?

I would try adding a "spacer" slide. This slide is there to allow the
autotransition to kick quickly to the new slide, minimizing the flow issues.

A spacer slide should ....
Have very little one it so that it loads quickly
Look identical to the one you are transitioning from, except for the
movie content

The slide you are transitioning from from be set to auto-advance after 00:01
seconds ... (which translates into after the movie).

If you right-click the movie on the slide and choose "edit movie object," is
"rewind when done playing" checked?
