Movie clips do not work in PowerPoint after SBP2?

I have a presentation to complete. However, it seems that since I installed
SP2, when I attempt to insert a movie clip in PPT, the clip does not run. I
just get a black box with no picture or clip. What can I try to get my movie
clips to work?

There have been some issued identified with WinXP SP-2 and some videos,
mostly MPEGs, I believe.

The workaround is to convert them to WMV or AVI. Sorry I don't have better
information for you.

When you say you see a black box, are you using a multiple monitor system?
Also, can you view movie if you open it directly with WMP?

Try repairing the installation from the install cd.
SP2 will not let me insert videos with controls any more, I can insert any
type of video otherwise, mpeg, avi etc does not matter, I tried.
MS says this is "by design".
I installed the trial version of 2003 - no difference, when I uninstalled I
could not install ANY videos by any method, repair from cd worked.
I could not even insert a Ppt presentation into a presentation.
MS should be ashamed, this has ruined a lot of my work.
