move the search field in SharePoint

I am redesigning a SharePoint 2.0 page using FrontPage 2003. I would like to
move the search field fromt he upper right corner to a more prominant
position and make it larger. However, I cant get it to move. I select it,
Right click and choose cut, the search field and button disappear. WHen I
move to the appropriate/desired area and paste, nothing happens. Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a great day.

SPD uses web parts for its components
- you need to create new web part and move it to that web part region

You should ask in the WSS support newsgroup at
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices
