Move .pst File to New Location

B

Bob_?

If I move the .pst file to a new location, how do I get Outlook to find it?

Is there a way to move the .pst without disabling all the message rules?

Thanks, -Bob

The clearest answer that I can give you is that if you move those files to another location is similar to if you would have deleted them

Move the file with Outlook closed. I'd probably also rename it - outlook.pst
is rather generic; yourname.pst isn't. Then open Outlook & it will complain
it can't find the PST file - just point it at the correct new location. Then
close & restart Outlook.

The rules shouldn't be affected, unless they are set up to move items to a
folder Outlook can't find - but if you're using a single PST file, that
shouldn't be an issue.
