Mouse won't Work

I installed a new Logitech Wireless Keyboard and mouse on my daughters PC,
(her OP is
XP Pro), but my CD-Roms disappeared on "My Computer". I used System Restore
to go back prior to the installation but when the Welcome Screen comes up ,
there is no mouse to pick which user to log on.

I have tried the Alt key - doesn't work and I also tried using the old wired
mouse and keyboard after first turning of the PC, but this didn't work
either! All suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi... What type of mouse are you using , is it USB or SP/2 ?? Also have you
check whether the pins aren't bent ??

Sorry about that - Wireless Keyboard and optical mouse working of SP/2 and
it's brand new and pins are not bent.

When on the welcome screen hit ctrl-alt-del twice. The old style log on
should come up. Type in the user name and password and hit enter. Windows
should log you in. Then install the mouse drivers from the software supplied
with them. Once the mouse works again, check your cd drives and if they are
gone post back and we'll try to get them back.
