Mouse will not work properly within Word Doc and Word options not

I have the Office suite professional plus. My mouse will not work within the
document expect for the scrolling with the roller ball. The scroll bars do
not work and you can not highlight text within the document. When going to
the word options, all options are greyed out. If I log in as admin it
appears to work fine so it appears to be a rights issue within Word only.

Hi Gymstone,

Are you running either the LaserFiche or FlashPaper apps? If so, those add-ins have been known to cause similar problems.

Do you get the same result if you use
Start=>Run
Winword.exe /a
to start Word? Some folks have reported that corrupted (older) Word templates may also be causing some issues.
