Mouse wheel

I bought an optical mouse but it seems that when I turn the PC off the
setting of the mouse goes lost.
Does anybody experience this problem before?

May be it need a new tyre ;-)
Try to uninstall the mouse driver and reinstall or update the driver for it.
What make the Mouse?.

Which "setting/s" are you referring to?
