mouse moves randomly

Hello:
I need help. When I turn my laptop 70% of the time the
mouse moves randomly through the screen. Usually it goes
to one of the corners. I can not manipulate the mouse when
this happens. I try to scan my compurter for virus but the
problem persist. What can I do to fix this.

could be a bad mouse... even laser ones can mess up.. make sure you clean it out.. try another mouse if possible (like try a friends mouse or something?) if its not the mouse its POSSIBLY the port but I don't think so.. thx for reading hope this help
