In today's Vista environment where compatibility issues are not uncommon,
it's hard to be certain about what hardware will work properly without doing
research. It's likely safe to buy a Microsoft mouse, but even then you can
have issues. I have an Inland brand mouse, which Vista Device Manager
identifies as a Microsoft mouse, and it works perfectly though it's not
Microsoft. Just my thoughts for your consideration.
