Mouse dosen't work in DOS window

I have a DOS application that is running on my windows 2000 PC. It works fine
if I use the keyboard to move around (ex: alt-F opens the file pull down
menu; tabing over to the OK button and press enter works). My mouse moves
over the DOS window, but I cannont click on anything. No matter what I click
on, nothing happens.
This same app is running with no problems on Windows 98, Windows ME &
Windows XP.
Is there a setup option or something that will allow the mouse to work in a
DOS window?

Hi,

If you turn off "Quick Edit" mode, it should start working. To test it:

1. Start a CMD instance
2. Type "Edit" and press return
3. Click the "Control Box" - top left corner of console Window
4. Choose "Properties"
5. Untick "Quick Edit" and choose an apply option
6. Click the menus, and they should now work, just like under DOS

You can, of course set a default for your specific app by setting these
properties on a desktop shortcut.
