mouse cursor disappears

Where does my mouse cursor go when I'm using the pictures slideshow function?
I'm not able to see it. I know its there. I've unsuccessfully tried
messing with the mouse settings to get it to show up when I'm working with
the pictures slideshow in windows vista.

The mouse cursor and the slideshow controls are supposed to disappear when
the slideshow is running. They will both reappear when you move the mouse.
This is the same behavior you see when Media Player or Power Point are
running in full screen mode.

Are you using a wireless mouse? The behavior you are seeing has been
associated with some wireless devices.

Ronnie, Appreciate your reply. The slideshow controls disappear and reappear
when I move the mouse, but the mouse cursor never reappears when I move it
around. I have to move my mouse around until the controls on the slideshow
light up to find out where the mouse is located. It's a pain in the gluteus
maximus. To escape the slideshow, its easier to just push the escape button
and I'm not able to effectively use the slideshow controls without being able
to see my mouse cursor. Any other ideas? Thanks

Are you using a wireless mouse? Have you tried using another mouse to see if
this pinpoints the problem? Have you updated the drivers for the mouse? Try
these things and let us know the outcome.

I had the same problem; try turning of the display mouse pointer trails
option. It worked for me.

I had the same problem. Turning off the pointer trails, and control key
locator worked for me too. Typical that the VP doesn't even accept the fact
that it is possible - "move the mouse and it appears" he says.
