mouclass and userenv errors in event log

Userenv:

Adding the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Application\Userenv
as mentioned in an old posting doesn't prevent my system from logging
this (something missing?):

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1517
Date: 11.12.2003
Time: 15:53:26
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: MYPC
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 1517 ) in Source ( Userenv ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following information
is part of the event: MYPC\username.

Mouclass:

First I got a comparable warning message to the one above after building
my system (touchcontroller as mouse replacement). After inserting a
eventlog registry entry (mouclass) from a running XP Pro system I get
this error message (the touch is operating normally):

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Mouclass
Event Category: None
Event ID: 9
Date: 11.12.2003
Time: 15:54:21
User: N/A
Computer: MYPC
Description:
Could not enable interrupts on connected port device \Device\PointerClass0.
Data:
0000: 00 00 00 00 01 00 5a 00 ......Z.
0008: 00 00 00 00 09 00 05 c0 .......À
0010: 98 4e 00 00 10 00 00 c0 ?N.....À
0018: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........

Thanks for your help!

Juergen,

Include drvmain.sdb file from XPe Repository to your image under
%Systemroot%\AppPatch. This should fix (show more intellectual description
of) some of your event log messages.

Thanks, KM
drvmain.sdb is included in the modul Application Compatibility Core
(Hotfix) and is already present on my system...

Not sure if this will help but I had a strange userenv error in my event log
a long time ago and this was my comment in VSS when I checked in my slx
file:

"Added Software Installation Group Policy Extension and it's MMC Extension
snap-in to rid a strange Userenv error from the application event log."

HTH... Doug
