Motherboard looks fried.

Hello,

The old motherboard which is probably defective looks fried.

I have two explanations for this:

1. The dual graphics cards 7900 gtx fried the motherboard... possibly
because of too low airflow to them.

2. The led connectors weren't properly attached, maybe caused electrical
frieing ? (unlikely though).

The frieing seems to be all across the motherboard, pictures:

Especially notice the frieing near the pc-beeper, bottom, right corner (near
the smiley looking thingy)

Those orange spots look like fries. They are everywhere.

The replacement/rma motherboard doesn't have fry spots like that.

What do you think ? Fry spots or not fry spots ? ;)

Bye,
Skybuck.

You need a flash diffuser, like a white piece of paper in front of the flash, or half of a pingpong ball.
We really cant see any burn marks.

Cheers

Interesting tip.

I'll shall try it sometime.

Meanwhile the yellow spots look orange in normal daylight.

Have you tried zooming in ?

Bye,
Skybuck.

Bye,

You have to zoom WAAAY in.
Right down to the synapse. Then the damage is readily apparent.

No... he needs a "Flashy Thing" flashed on him, set to about 15 years of
"forget". That way, he can forget all the bad, DUMB shit he "learned"
about PCs, and he can start over, and maybe actually get it right this
time.

Don't know what a "Flashy Thing" is? It is an alien technology for
erasing recent or deeper memories from the target recipient. (MIB)

Well I thought about it some more.

It is pretty moisty in the summer.

And sometimes I have a teapot steaming hot air into my living room where the
kitchen is open.

So maybe third possibility:

3. Rust.

What effect could rust have ?

Maybe short circuit as it grows.

Or maybe obstruct electricity ?

Me have no idea what rust does to electronics and electricity ;)

Bye,
Skybuck.

Your motherboard problem is almost certainly from early childhood. Did
the other kids at school tease and make fun of you?

They most likely did not pay ANY attention to him whatsoever... He probably
has retrospective ADD...

Solderflux!!!!

It wasn't there when it was new... well only a little bit...

Well anyway... maybe the motherboard is ok after all... and the power supply
is bad instead.... :(((

Bye,
Skybuck.
