Most recent entry only reports

I have several subforms within a main data form to collect various items
keeping track of currency. When I create the report for this info, all the
records are generated. Is there a way to limit the report to the last, most
recent dates only? And if so, what is required to do this?

The key to understanding a database is to understand what tables you have,
what data is stored in each, and how they are related. The _forms_ used is a
secondary consideration.

And, there could be many ways to create a report that would show the
only-vaguely-defined information.

If you could clarify with details on these items, perhaps someone could
offer useful suggestions.

I have a subform which collects all entries regarding dates of completing a
persons ditching drill. This subform has been created from a query that
tracks same. Each entry generates a new date of completion. I would like a
report that when printed and displayed only shows/prints the most recent date.
