Most messages stuck in Outbox

Most of the messages I send go into the outbox - italicized. IF I send to
myself they will be recieved. I turned off Nortons e-mail scanning. I am
using outlook 2007 with vista. IT is set up to send immediately, turned off
receipt, no filtering, person's name is in safe-to-send list, their name is
not in blocked sender list. I turned on error logging. But am not able to
find the log (what ever it's name is, becasue it is not named in the ms
knowledge base) to track the problem. I have run diagnostics and nothing is
wrong. EEck! Anyone have a clue?

Remove the Norton addin. You don't need to scan outgoing mail at all. Those
Safe lists are for email you receive--not your outgoing mail. Maybe you have
an incorrect setting in your Account. Check with your ISP for the correct
server settings. The slightest typo can cause this. When you set up the acct,
did you Test Settings? If successful, you should receive an actual email
saying so. No error message will show if it's not successful. You will not
receive anything if it fails.

i checked all is well....also, if i get an e-mail from a person, i can reply
to it okay...it's the virgin new e-mail that won;t send...i can send and
receive to myself, however...hmm......it sounds like it is something to do
with the contacts list.......
