More than two downloads registry change does not work

About a year ago I changed the registry in my computer to
allow more than two similtaneaous downloads in Internet
Explorer. That was adding the
values "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"
and "MaxConnectionsPerServer". But now, suddenly it no
longer works even though those values still exist. The
only change I can think of that I have made recently to
the computer is running Ad-Aware once.

I have tried erasing and then re-adding the values, but
still I can only make the standard two downloads at one
time.

Any ideas??

If you are connecting to the Internet via a proxy server, the proxy server
may limit the number of concurrent file download to 2.
