More problems then the Hindenberg!

Giving up on half the options that FrontPage supposedly
offers, I've mainstreamed my "web site" (would not be in
quotes if the blasted thing even worked) into one long
boring, 2 pictures only with a fairly simple background,
long-winded writing, supposedly complete with
bookmarks. "Supposedly," because when I uploaded the
site, the links (merely bookmarks with one true hyperlink
to another page) all died. (Product is a PIA for those
of us it was intended for--people who don't know html.)

Anyway, I have a Table of Contents with 35 bookmarks for
that same page (it IS long-winded), but the program is
iffy on whether it feels like actually allowing me to use
the hyperlink function to navigate to the different
headings. Sometimes it is an option and sometimes it's
not. (Example: I had no problem fixing Chapter 5, but
can't do Chapter 6. Couldn't do the first two chapters
for a while and then suddenly, it let me do them too.)
How do I get the blasted thing to work, actually allowing
me to add my bookmark as a hyperlink? (Optional
question: Why is Microsoft so determined to make all
their "user-friendly" products non-user friendly?)

Here's the site to give you a better idea of what I'm
trying to do:

Because FrontPage 2002 server extensions work only with domain-based web sites, FrontPage
publishing via HTTP is no longer supported for GeoCities Plus and GeoCities free services. Only
Yahoo! GeoCities Pro currently supports FrontPage 2002.

You can still publish pages generated by FrontPage 2002 to your web site by using FTP or Easy
Upload, or you can upgrade to a domain-based service to enjoy all of FrontPage 2002's great
features. GeoCities Pro and all three Web Hosting packages -- Business Starter, Business
Starter, and Business Professional -- include FrontPage 2002 support for collaborative web site
authoring and other web publishing features.
