Monitoring the connection to my workstation/server

Hello ,
i would like trace or monitoring the connections to my Workstation / Server
but i do not insall a Firewall.
Exist a software who monitoring a connection to my share folder or logon
across a network or logon locally and send me a alter ( sms or mail or
pop-up ) ? ??
My O.S. is windows 2000 Server.

You might want to look into trying out Sygate Pro firewall. It can be
downloaded/tried for free and is only about fifty dollars to purchase. You
can disable firewall itself and just use it's nice logging features. Also
implementing log on events auditing on your server may be helpful, though it
will not send you alerts. --- Steve
