Monitor Resolution

Help!

I just installed Windows XP Professional on my desktop and now the monitor
resolution won't work. All I get is 16 bit colors and a 640 by 480 pixel
resolution. I've tried downloading drivers for my monitor, but it's an
older one (Samsung SyncMaster 700s) and I can't seem to find current
drivers. It did, however, work fine before the new installation, with 32
bit color and all the resolution I wanted.

What's up with that?

Have you re-installed the WinXP-specific video drivers that were
supplied by the video adapter's manufacturer?
