Monitor receives "no signal"

I am running XP sp2 Home ..... Display disappears and light on monitor goes
out "no signal". This has happened at
various times and I can't seem to see any connection. Last time was when I
tried to configure TV tuner in ATI All In Wonder Radion 9600. I just
installed the new version software but this screen disappearing has happened
to me before I did this. I can not pinpoint it. I just did a Windows XP
slipstream to try to get rid of it but no soap. I also ran Registry
Mechanic, no soap there either. Yes, I did reboot after I did these things.
Please Help...

Power the monitor off then on (with its power switch).

Usually brings it back.

You can spend endless hours trying to find out what's
going on, probably never find it (I never have) or just
do the power thing when it happens.

Would this be an LCD monitor using the digital connection??
If so try using both the analog and digital connection then then under ATI
control center set the digital as monitor #1...Main monitor
post back please

First, monitor is LCD and everything is analog. Been working just fine
otherwise. When monitor (says "no signal") disappears, switching monitor on
and off does not help.

Lady at work had this issue. Finally called in the
ticket to support ... then realized she was kicking
the monitor cable with her foot (the computer is
on the floor under her desk). Just a wee bit
embarrassed when she realized what was happening.
Make sure all your connections are tight - wiggle the
cable and make sure that is not the issue.

Never thought of that but just checked it and it's tight as a drum. Sent a
ticket to ATI, hope they can resolve this for me. Thanks for suggestion
anyway.
