MM2 says "device is in use" for ATI All in Wonder 128

I have an ATI All in Wonder 128 AGP card on XP Pro. I'm
using the latest drivers from ATI. I can capture just
fine using the latest MMC (MultiMedia Center) from ATI.
However, when I try to tell Movie Maker 2.0 to capture
video, is says the device is in use. I've tried the
obvious thing like closing every program (and even
terminating all but the usual processes). This is very
annoying. Obviously the device isn't in use, or the
other program would've also complained.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Brian.

Brian,

Have you installed XP SP1 yet? If not I don't recommend it. My MMC will
not work at all since the install of SP1.

I've had the error you are getting in the past but only when MMC is actually
running. If all of the MMC processes are terminated you would think that
Movie Maker would work. Have you rebooted and tried Movie Maker first? I'm
sure you have.

I do have XP SP1. And I may have misunderstood you, but my MMC is working
fine. It is exclusively a problem of Movie Maker.

I thinkI have tried as you suggested, running Movie Maker before any MMC
after a clean boot, but I can't be certain, so I'll try it again.

Regards,
Brian.

P.S. Thanks for the reply!
