MM does not recognise my Sony

I have a Sony DCR-TRV320E digital camera that I have captured video from
plenty of times in the past. When I first installed SP2 I had to turn off
firewall and virus software to capture. MS Security Centre confirms I have
these off. My camera software (pitcuregear 4.1) confirms a connection
(Digital firewire from Digital I/O jack to Serial Port Com 1), but no options
to capture occur. The camera also confirms a PC connection. MM also does not
give me a capture option, just the Video Card. I've run scandisk and defrag
without success. I have also set the baud rate to minimum of 9600bps without
success. Any ideas?

Another probelm with Sony. I have tried to install my Sony 800x camcorder
but I get a message saying it may not be compatible with Microsoft XP and may
cause problems now or in the future if I install. Not sure what to do next.
Any advice?
