missing task folder

My boss has the outlook bar going along with the folder list. I can see his
"my tasks" in the outlook bar however I do not see the task folder in the
list that is usually attached to the inbox. So he cannot open any updated or
accepted tasks. How do I get this back for him?

Sorry Outlook 2003

Thank you. I should have asked these questions as well:

First, Outlook 2003 doesn't have an "Outlook Bar". Do you mean the
Navigation Pane? Also, what do you mean by "the task folder in the list
that is usually attached to the inbox"?

yes the navagation pane, it lists the all the areas ie: mail, tasks, etc...
when you click the "mail" tab you see above the list from the personal
folder...ie: inbox, sent, deleted, tasks,etc... however i do not see the task
icon (list clipboard with check mark). so when a task comes in accepted from
someone it does not open or get applied to the task issued from the machine.
I do see the tasks when i click the task button in the navagation pane.

The Mail View in the Navigation Pane will show you ony folders that hold
Mail items. Therefore, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes, etc. won't show in
that vew. Likewise, when you click the Tasks button, the Tasks view will
show you only those folders holding Task items. If you want to see
everything in the same view, click Folder List,.

You have to use a view that shows task folders first: either the Tasks view
or the Folder List view.
