Missing Standby

Thanks for Rick's rapid response.

I failed to find the driver that may causes the conflict.
The problem (no standby) will be gone if I reboot the
computer on the dock with an extra monitor. Computer
crashes after undocking and standby is missing after
reboot without docking. Can you get any clue from that
fact?

I really appreciate your time.

Hi Bill,

If it only happens with that monitor, then that should be the clue you need.
Check not only the display adapters installed, but also the monitors listed
in Device Manager.

Hi Rick,

It happens with the build-in laptop monitor, not the
external monitor.

Have a good weekend.

Hi Bill,

Try what Maureen suggested (reinstall the driver). Does this happen when you
simply boot the laptop with only the built-in running?
