Missing Reference

I posted this last week in Activex postings and haven't
received an answer... anyways, trying again here.

"I have a dbase which uses the 'date picker' activex
control on a few forms. I've recently had to reinstal
access and now this doesn't work. Under 'tools', 'activex'
controls, date picker no longer appears. Under 'references'
I have MISSING: Microsoft Windows Common Controls -2 6.0
(SP4)"

Since I posted this last week, I have re-installed my VB6.
Now I have the date picker available in access again as I
had before so the activex file associated must be part of
VB6 and not Access. I have noticed on other machines that
sometimes it is available and sometimes not, I guess it all
depends on a particular activex file being present
somewhere.

What I would like to know now, because the date picker is
quite handy, is how can I make this always available. Does
anyone know which file I need to have present and where it
is located to make the date picker available on any machine
I load the dbase on? and question two, does it have to be
"installed" or is it simply a matter of copying the
relevent file to the correct location?

Sam,

Open your database to the database window. Click on Tools-ActiveX Controls and
go from there.

Hi,
I know how to set the activex control but if the file is
not one the pc then it is not an available option. I'm
wondering if anyone knows what the file is that is
associated with the date picker, and hence makes it
available, and also if it is not installed on a pc if it
can be coppied from one to another and simply pasted to the
appropriate directory or it need to be installed.
